Job summary

CommScope in Goa seeks an experienced Accountant to manage payments and accounts payable for international operations. You will ensure policy-driven payments, support shared services, and drive timely reporting and compliance across sites.

You will investigate discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to process standardization while collaborating with site finance, operations, purchasing, and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' accounting experience in payments and accounts payable or similar.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience with international sites in a multi-national company preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong accounting and finance knowledge; able to learn VAT and foreign bank regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process payments to meet defined timelines across entities.
• Escalate issues and circulate reports to relevant teams (SAP, bank portals).
• Understand international tax and commercial transaction complexities.
• Collaborate with site Finance, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify process improvements and root cause analysis for errors.
• Prepare periodic MIS on invoices and vendor payment trends.
• Ensure tax-related documents are generated and reviewed for each location.
• Support external and internal audits of the payables process.
• Reconcile bank ledgers and assist in audits.
