JOB PURPOSE

The prime responsibility of the role is to proactively develop business strategies across the regions which will drive profitable growth while increasing penetration in Sales and Demand Creation performance, resulting in market share gain on a global basis. The ability to communicate effectively in order to negotiate the company offering to the customer to achieve the opportunity to competently position Future’s value add and quote on business, demonstrating the company’s full capabilities, is a key requirement in the role.

What the roles involves:
  1. Develop global strategy and implement site tactics in conjunction with branch personnel in each geographical region to drive top-line revenue and increase gross profit margin.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges, helping formulate strategies within regions and branches to position Future for growth. Develop relationships with the customer’s Senior Management through regular visits to their corporate and field sites.
  3. Present Future’s value proposition by providing customers with our Value-Added Solutions and Corporate Initiatives (e.g., Business Partner Programme) to enhance service capabilities at all customer sites.
  4. Work with branch and regional management to set, implement, drive, and monitor sales and margin budgets globally by site to increase share at each location and outperform industry and Future’s growth projections.
  5. Drive key supplier initiatives outlined by marketing at each customer site to ensure corporate supplier commitments are achieved.
  6. Provide a high level of service by being responsive to the customer’s needs regarding quotes, product availability, lead times, and delivery queries.
  7. Engage the Field Application Engineering team to capitalize on sell opportunities.
Do you have:
  • Commercial acumen and resilience with a proven sales track record within the company or other electronic distribution business for the past five years. Educated to degree level, ideally with a technical or business background.
  • Understanding of technical teams by achieving a designated number of designs in.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and accurate, able to work under pressure with attention to detail, achieving results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
