GLOBAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE

The prime responsibility of the role is to proactively develop business strategies across the regions which will drive profitable growth whilst increasing penetration in Sales and Demand Creation performance, resulting in market share gain on a global basis. The ability to communicate effectively to negotiate the company offering to the customer, to position Future’s value-add, and demonstrate the company’s full capabilities is essential.

What the roles involves:
  1. Develop global strategy and implement site tactics in conjunction with branch personnel in each geographical region to drive top-line revenue and increase gross profit margin.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges, helping formulate strategies within regions and branches to promote growth. Build relationships with customer’s Senior Management through regular visits.
  3. Present Future’s value proposition by offering Value-Added Solutions and Corporate Initiatives, such as the Business Partner Programme, to enhance service capabilities at all customer sites.
  4. Work with branch and regional management to set, implement, and monitor sales and margin budgets globally by site, aiming to increase market share and outperform industry and company growth projections.
  5. Drive key supplier initiatives at each customer site to fulfill corporate commitments.
  6. Provide high-level customer service by responding promptly to quotes, product availability, lead times, and delivery queries.
  7. Engage the Field Application Engineering team to capitalize on sell opportunities.
Do you have:
  • Commercial acumen and resilience with a proven sales record within the company or in electronic distribution for the past five years. Educated to degree level, ideally in a technical or business field.
  • Understanding of technical teams, demonstrated by achieving a set number of designs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • High organization and accuracy, able to work under pressure and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
