JOB PURPOSE

The prime responsibility of the role is to proactively develop business strategies across the regions which will drive profitable growth whilst increasing penetration in Sales and Demand Creation performance, resulting in market share gain on a global basis. The ability to communicate effectively to negotiate the company offering to the customer, to position Future’s value add, quote on business, and demonstrate the company’s full capabilities is a key requirement.

What the roles involves:
  1. Develop global strategy and implement site tactics in conjunction with branch personnel in each geographical region to drive top line revenue and increase gross profit margin.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges, helping to formulate regional and branch strategies to position Future for growth. Build relationships with customer’s Senior Management through regular visits to their corporate and field sites.
  3. Present Future’s value proposition by providing customers with our Value-Added Solutions and Corporate Initiatives, such as the Business Partner Programme, to enhance service capabilities at all customer sites.
  4. Work with branch and regional management to set, implement, drive, and monitor sales and margin budgets globally by site, aiming to increase share and outperform industry and company growth projections.
  5. Drive key supplier initiatives outlined by marketing at each customer site to ensure commitments are achieved.
  6. Provide high-level customer service by being responsive to quotes, product availability, lead times, and delivery queries.
  7. Engage the Field Application Engineering team to capitalize on sell opportunities.
Do you have:
  • Commercially astute and resilient, with a proven sales track record within the company or other electronic distribution businesses for the past five years. Educated to degree level, ideally with a technical or business background.
  • Understanding of technical teams by achieving a designated number of designs in.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and accurate, able to work under pressure with attention to detail. Focused on achieving results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
