Job Purpose

The prime responsibility of the role is to proactively develop business strategies across the regions which will drive profitable growth while increasing penetration in Sales and Demand Creation performance, resulting in market share gain on a global basis. Effective communication skills are essential to negotiate the company’s offerings to customers, position Future’s value add, and demonstrate the company’s full capabilities.

What the role involves:
  1. Develop global strategy and implement site tactics in conjunction with branch personnel in each geographical region to drive top-line revenue and increase gross profit margin.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges; formulate strategies with regional and branch teams to foster growth. Build relationships with customer senior management through regular visits.
  3. Present Future’s value proposition by offering Value-Added Solutions and Corporate Initiatives, such as the Business Partner Programme, to enhance service capabilities at all customer sites.
  4. Work with management to set, implement, and monitor sales and margin budgets globally by site to increase market share and outperform industry and company growth projections.
  5. Drive key supplier initiatives outlined by marketing at each customer site to meet corporate commitments.
  6. Provide high-level customer service by responding promptly to quotes, product availability, lead times, and delivery inquiries.
  7. Engage the Field Application Engineering team to capitalize on sell opportunities.
Candidate requirements:
  • Commercially astute, resilient, with a proven sales track record over the past five years in electronics distribution or similar. Degree educated, preferably with a technical or business background.
  • Understanding of technical teams, demonstrated by achieving a set number of design wins.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, accurate, able to work under pressure, and attentive to detail.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
