Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Sales Leader to join our Siemens Grid Software sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling software as a service (SaaS) solution, with experience in the energy distribution industry. This is a global key role across Europe and LATAM to drive the growth of a Multinational DSO. The Global Account Director will be responsible for generating new business, building relationships with customers, and achieving sales targets in a global DSO.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base in the global DSO.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to inform sales strategies and tactics.

Requirements:

  • Professional background in software selling, software deal shaping, and SaaS business.
  • Strong knowledge of the Energy Italian market - Utilities, Oil & Gas, and renewable market, with experience in different go-to-market strategies, from product-based to solution-based businesses.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and networking skills across all hierarchical levels, especially with C-level customers.
  • Experience and attitude to collaborate and build business opportunities through other sales channels (Channel Partner, Distributors, Service, and Verticals).
  • Proven ability to handle complexity and a successful record of organizational change / Cultural Transformation initiatives.
  • Sales operational experience and data-driven attitude is a relevant plus.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Great teammate with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Being a role model for openness and inclusiveness as a non-negotiable cultural element.
  • Residency in the Rome area is a plus.
