Responsibilities

Role Profile

The General Manager at aparto Milan Durando will oversee daily operations, manage the operations team (front desk and housekeeping), ensure health and safety compliance, and coordinate maintenance and repairs. You will lead meetings on finance, sales, operations, and quality, and handle administrative tasks in line with Italian hospitality regulations. Managing property teams, maintaining excellent service standards, and collaborating with other General Managers are key aspects of this role.

  • Train and support the Assistant General Manager.
  • Oversee daily building operations, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide leadership to meet key objectives.
  • Coordinate with the facilities team.
  • Manage invoices and budgets effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules and repairs.
  • Handle debt management and communicate respectfully with students.
  • Schedule work shifts for the facilities team.
  • Manage building operations during student arrivals, departures, and refurbishments.
  • Address HR issues professionally.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies.
  • Resolve student complaints promptly.
  • Ensure staff training is up-to-date.
  • Maintain the building’s appearance and condition.
  • Lead summer cleaning and maintenance programs.
  • Conduct audits at other aparto locations.
  • Create a welcoming environment for students, parents, and visitors.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe living and working environment.
  • Review reports on debt, income, and occupancy.
