What does the role involve?

The role is based in our Finance Shared Service Center in Milan and will manage the general account operations for various markets around the world, working in an international environment.

You will perform compliant General Ledger processes and ensure accurate financial bookings in areas such as month-end closing, year-end closing, Fixed Assets, General Ledger Master Data, Intercompany, and Tax. You will also maintain adequate ledgers (Balances, Profit and Loss, and Reclassified Profit and Loss).

You will review and keep the balance sheet up to date, posting accurate accruals, prepayments, and provisions.

You will be responsible for identifying and driving GL process improvements and enhancing service levels using continuous improvement tools and suitable technologies.

You will act as a sparring partner for the Finance Business Partners by linking business decisions to accounting processes and delivering and improving General Ledger services to the entities in scope.

You will ensure compliance by executing Internal Controls, maintaining proper filing, and responding to requests from internal and external auditors.

What you need is :

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent finance qualification
  • Experience as a business partner, influencing finance and non-finance stakeholders, and effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication
  • Expertise in MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards
