Bain & Company Milano is offering an AI Engineering Intern role within the AIS team. You’ll work with engineers, consultants, and data scientists to design and develop GenAI applications that translate business problems into deployable solutions.

Competenze

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in a quantitative field (CS/ML/AI/Data Science/Engineering).
• Strong academic performance through research, projects, internships, or open-source contributions.
• Proficiency in Python and building APIs or services (REST/gRPC).

Mansioni

• Design and develop GenAI applications (e.g., copilots, workflow automation, decision support).
• Assist in implementing AI pipelines: RAG, fine-tuning, embeddings, hybrid retrieval.
• Contribute to tool use, function calling, and orchestration across AI workflows.
• Build agent capabilities: context engineering, memory/state handling, orchestration, tool integration.
• Support model experimentation, evaluation, and production deployment tasks with senior team members.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to APIs and services through the full SDLC.
• Contribute to evaluation harnesses and reusable components across client contexts.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to build reliable AI systems.
• Communicate findings clearly in demos and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
