Vado Port System, also known as Vado Gateway, comprises two well-integrated terminals: the Reefer Terminal and a new semi-automated container terminal.

With the launch of the new platform in 2019, Vado Ligure became Italy's first semi-automated port, featuring a fully automated gate and stacking yard.

Vado Gateway is among Europe's most competitive terminals, combining innovation, automation, intermodal connectivity, and the ability to offer fully integrated and complex services such as cold storage, project cargo, Ro-Ro, and intermodal transport.

We are currently seeking a Gate & Cargo Controller (Intern - Tirocinio) to join our team based in Vado Ligure.

The role:

The Gate and Cargo Controller ensures that containers entering and leaving the terminal comply with requirements and have the necessary authorizations. Automation or OCR tools are used to perform these checks. The Controller updates the Terminal Operating System (TOS) with requests for ancillary services from internal customers and manages vehicle traffic.

The Controller reports to the Gate Manager based in Vado Ligure.

Contractual aspects: This is a full-time internship opportunity.

Location: The position is based in Vado Ligure, Italy. No relocation support is provided.
