Job Description

Utilize your analytical skills to provide timely expert medical reviews for requests evaluating the medical necessity of services that do not meet utilization review criteria.

Review appeals for denied services based on medical experience and evidence-based guidelines, following appeal policies.

Collaborate with over 500 Physician Peers to ensure proper patient care through evidence-based decision-making.

Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with referring physicians to clarify clinical information and review outcomes.

Qualifications Required

M.D. or D.O. with an active U.S. medical license, board-certified in Gastroenterology by ABMS or AOA.

Recent practice experience in direct patient care within the past 18 months.

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience beyond residency / fellowship.

Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws; URAC and NCQA standards are a plus.

Ability to commit to a set weekly schedule (Monday through Friday).

Willingness to complete 3 weeks of full-time training.
