Job summary

Baker Hughes Company in Italy seeks a GT Operability Engineer to analyze steady state performance scenarios and optimize fuel gas burnability for mechanical drive and power generation. You will build turbine models and run simulations using Aspen Plus, HYSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink, shaping operability envelopes to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

To be successful, you should have a degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Aeronautical Engineering.
Knowledge of turbines and basic thermodynamics is preferred.
Experience with Aspen Plus, HYSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink is advantageous; basic Fortran programming is a plus.
Demonstrated design creativity and problem solving capabilities; ability to work in a global team.

Responsibilities

Support analysis of scenarios for steady state performance and fuel gas burnability in mechanical drive and power generation.
Build Gas Turbine models of Baker Hughes products and run simulations with Aspen, Easy5, and MATLAB/Simulink.
Apply operability philosophy to define Gas Turbine operating envelopes meeting customer requirements.
Participate in New Product development programs.
