A leading company in the gaming industry is seeking a Game Director to drive the creative vision for their games. This pivotal role requires extensive game development experience, leadership abilities, and a passion for creating immersive experiences. The successful candidate will lead innovative teams, ensuring high-quality game delivery while staying ahead of industry trends.
Beat Games is an integral part of Reality Labs at Meta, and the smash hit game, Beat Saber, is a top performer on the Quest Platform. Beat Games is located in Prague, Czech Republic, and they are the award-winning game studio that created the original Beat Saber, which has sold over 4 million copies to date and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music including Queen, The Rolling Stones, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, BTS and The Weeknd. Drawing on a broad range of cross-functional knowledge and technical ability, gained through experience across the development lifecycle, you will be instrumental in forming the creative direction of our title in collaboration with the Studios leadership team. As the evangelist for the title, you will present the strategy and progress to Studio and Meta executives as well as the development team. Working in an inclusive and diverse Studio, you will lead and inspire cross-functional teams to contribute to the transformation of the creative vision into a variety of systems and mechanics that take music-driven game content, established by our iconic VR title Beat Saber, to the next level. While your designers focus on their areas of ownership, you’ll pay attention to the larger picture, overseeing the game’s overall outcome : progression, pace, balance, and – of course – quality. You will ensure that all elements related to design work together cohesively to fit the intended experience and make it fun.
