ESYEN in Italy is seeking a System Administrator to support the Galileo Ground Segment. You will configure, maintain, and optimize complex IT infrastructures, ensuring high availability and reliability of Galileo services while collaborating with ESA, EUSPA, and other stakeholders.

The role requires a degree in CS or engineering, 2+ years’ experience in a similar environment, Windows/Linux administration, virtualization (VMware), networking, and scripting.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator in a complex IT environment (space, aerospace, telecommunications, or similar).
• Strong expertise in Windows & Linux system administration.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
• Familiarity with networking concepts (routing, switch configuration, firewall, VPNs).
• Proficiency in automation & scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible).
• Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate across departments.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Eligibility for security clearance.
• Willingness to travel within Europe when required.

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Galileo Ground Segment IT infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain complex IT infrastructures, including servers and networking devices.
