We are specialized in the design, production, and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).
Working as part of an integrated global team, in this role you will contribute to the mechanical design and structural analysis of Advanced Systems & Products and their technology maturation vehicles, with the aim at supporting product evolution and preliminary design activities for future programs. In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, contributing to deliver advanced products that better meet customers, partners, and programs needs.
Essential Responsibilities
Contribute to system and component structural integrity assessments to support product definition (e.g. advanced modelling, fatigue assessments, non-linear analysis).
Assess system and component dynamic analysis to support product definition (e.g. Rotordynamics, system natural frequencies, frequency responses, components dynamics, Campbell diagrams).
Apply probabilistic design methods and optimization techniques to system/component design analysis.
Issue pre/post-processing and results reports according to engineering policies and procedures, as well as contribute to and participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews.
Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical data to the extended team.
Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
Qualifications/Requirements
Degree in Engineering from an accredited university; Master's degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical is preferred.
Good knowledge in structural failure criteria, fatigue analysis, dynamic analysis.
Good knowledge of CAE tools such as Nastran, Ansys.
Good knowledge of CAD tools (e.g. Unigraphics NX).
Good interpersonal and communication skills, proven capabilities in team working and inclusiveness. Clear thinking, diligent approach, and task-oriented.
English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral.
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulations, is required.
