Specialista Senior / Project Manager

Our Italian subsidiary, SMS group S.p.A., employs over 500 staff across Tarcento (Udine), San Donato Milanese (Milan), and Genoa. We specialize in the production of innovative, turnkey plants, including hot and cold rolling mills for flat products, process lines, reheating furnaces, heat treatment lines, rolling mills for long products, meltshops, and continuous casting machines.
Our Center of Excellence in Metallurgy is seeking a:

• Sales project engineering support, including preparation of parts of the technical specifications (Motor & Components List);
• Participation in meetings with customers, sub-suppliers, and consortium partners;
• Management of technical systems (fluid systems), considering functions and interfaces with electrical and automation systems;
• Preparation of basic engineering documents, harmonized with mechanical, fluid, and civil engineering, including Motor and Components list, Electromechanical Functional Description, Safety documents (control circuit list and functional description), clarification of motor and sensor types, electrical device location drawings, and order execution using modern engineering tools like SAP and AVEVA;
• Participation in system integration tests, installation, and commissioning;
• Providing feedback on gained knowledge for sales and execution teams;
• Assistance during shipment, erection, and commissioning phases on-site.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, fundamental knowledge of power supply, drives, motors, sensors, and automation systems; ability to read fluid schematics and mechanical drawings; experience in sales and engineering of complex electrical and automation systems; fluent English skills; willingness for worldwide travel; and operational readiness, assertiveness, negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team with a focus on cost and price consciousness.
