Pentasia is seeking a remote, part-time Freelance/Contractor Full-Stack Web Developer with a backend emphasis to own tasks and work closely with a Project Lead and a seasoned Web Designer.

Role spans PHP, Python, Laravel/Symfony, MySQL, Next.js, TypeScript, Docker, and React Native for iOS/Android. Expect flexible hours, variable workload, and strong emphasis on secure, scalable coding practices.

• Experience with AI-assisted development is a plus.

Remote | Part-Time | Freelance / Contractor

We are looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer to join a web development project, with the majority of the work focused on backend development.

The ideal candidate will be a highly independent developer who can take ownership of tasks while collaborating closely with the Project Lead and an experienced Web Designer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Work across the full stack when required.
• Build and maintain integrations, APIs and CMS-based solutions.
• Contribute to iOS and Android applications using React Native.
• Follow secure, scalable and maintainable development practices.
• Use Git and CI/CD workflows effectively.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high code quality and engineering standards.
• Work independently and communicate effectively through Slack.

Engagement

• Fully remote
• Part-time freelance / contractor
• Initially around 4 hours per day, with the workload expected to decrease over time.
• Workload may vary significantly, with periods of high activity and periods of little or no work.
• No fixed working hours or fixed monthly salary.
• Compensation is based on the actual work performed.
• The candidate must be able to invoice the company and therefore hold a valid Italian or EU VAT number.
• Slack will be the primary communication channel.
