MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking a full-time Mammography Technologist to join our Radiology team. You will perform all mammography procedures under the Radiologist and Radiology Director, ensuring QA, regulatory compliance, and patient-care excellence across diverse populations.

Requirements include ARRT certification with mammography (ARRT-M), SCRQSA licensure, and CPR. The role supports the MUSC Health Florence Medical Center’s commitment to high-quality breast imaging services

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist, under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Director, performs all Mammography procedures in accordance with ACR, TDH, MQSA, state regulations, and departmental policies. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment for the above-mentioned examinations. Responsible for QA maintenance, regulatory compliance, survey preparations, and competencies. The Technologist must exhibit expertise in patient care based on needs appropriate for all patient demographics. Other duties as deemed necessary.

Education

Graduate of an approved, accredited A.R.R.T. program. Documented mammography training.

Experience

One year of diagnostic radiology experience is preferred, and at least one year mammography experience is required, proving initiative and sound judgment required for utilizing and maintaining established guidelines of care by the MQSA.

Licenses/Certificates

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Mammography certification required (ARRT-M).
• Licensed as a radiologic technologist by the SCRQSA.
• CPR certification required.
