A leading biopharmaceutical data solutions provider is looking for a senior frontend developer in Palermo, Italy. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in Vue.js and TypeScript. Responsibilities include designing features, mentoring developers, and integrating APIs. This remote position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to work within a dynamic, experienced team. Clear English communication skills are essential.
About the Company :
DataHow is on a mission to help biopharmaceutical companies create better drugs, faster. Think about mRNA vaccines, cell / gene therapy, personalized medicine, etc. To do so, we are developing a platform that will allow them to analyze their data, plan new experiments in the lab, simulate and predict their results and optimize their outputs.
About the Role :
We’re looking for a senior frontend developer to develop and maintain our web application using Vue.js and TypeScript, ensuring a high-quality, maintainable and scalable codebase. This role requires autonomy, a proactive mindset and a willingness to mentor and help others. Key responsibilities include collaborating with backend engineers to integrate APIs, designing reusable components, implementing effective testing strategies and enhancing data visualization aspects of the platform.
A strong university degree (minimum BSc or equivalent) in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
We’re a small team that is deeply technical.
We’re mostly remote, with team members in Switzerland, Portugal, Italy and Germany. We have offices in Zurich and Lisbon and every year we travel together to a cool place.
We’re a team, not a family, but we have families and want to be the kind of place where work doesn’t get in the way of that.
Engineers at DataHow have an unusual amount of autonomy and decision-making power. You will be making real product decisions that directly impact users, on a daily basis, without anyone standing over your shoulder telling you what to do.
Virtually all team communication, customer communication and documentation are in writing. We are a global company, but most of our communication is in English. Clear writing in English is essential.
We’ll invite you to a chat to pitch the company and answer all your questions about both the company and our hiring process.
If you’re sold on the gig after that, we’ll get you some lightweight front-end challenge problems and any information you need to shine on them (we don’t do gotcha problems). You’ll do these on your own time, in whatever snippets of time you have available - we’re not looking over your shoulder - and we’re aiming for this to eat substantially less time than a typical tech company interview gauntlet would.
We’ll evaluate the project we get over a 1-2 weeks period and let you know how things went. We’ll set up a final call to meet the management.
We’ll get you an offer.
