Job Title: Freelance Editorial & Content Specialist – Financial Services Focus

Salary: Circa EUR 300 per day

Department: Marketing

Location: Hybrid – 4 days in the office (Milan)

Reports to: Marketing Commercialisation Lead

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Freelance Editorial/Content Specialist – Financial Services Focus withwith a strong editorial background and financial acumen to support our client’s content and communications efforts. This role is ideal for a content professional with experience in journalism, financial writing, or publishing and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will be responsible for creating and localising high-quality, insightful content related to investment strategies, market insights and financial trends. This includes developing original editorial materials and adapting global content for the Italian market to meet local business needs. The role combines journalistic rigor, financial literacy and content marketing expertise to support brand positioning and client engagement across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development

• Develop high-impact editorial and investment-related content aligned with marketing and brand strategy.

• Create original written materials (e.g., articles, white papers, newsletters, infographics) on topics such as equities, fixed income, macroeconomics, ESG, and market trends.

• Maintain and manage an editorial calendar in coordination with marketing and investment teams.

Localisation & Translation

• Adapt English-language content for the Italian market with accuracy, contextual relevance, and cultural sensitivity.

• Ensure all localised content aligns with corporate standards, tone of voice, and visual identity.

Research & Analysis

• Collaborate with investment teams and product marketing to source insights and data for content creation.

• Translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible language for both retail and institutional audiences.

• Stay current with market developments, trends and regulatory changes.

Editing & Quality Control

• Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.

• Apply a high standard of quality to all editorial output, following corporate style guidelines.

• Use PowerPoint and other tools to prepare materials when needed.

Channel & Distribution Support

• Assist with distribution across digital platforms (web, email, social media).

• Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement using best practices.

• Use AI-assisted tools where appropriate to improve workflow and content efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between investment, marketing and communications teams to ensure aligned messaging.

• Support sales enablement and PR by producing materials that highlight thought leadership and market expertise.

Key Qualifications

• Proven experience in journalism, editorial, content creation, or publishing.

• Freelance experience in financial services, asset management, or fintech strongly preferred.

• Solid understanding of financial markets and terminology.

• Native-level or full professional fluency in English and Italian.

• Excellent writing skills with a focus on clarity, structure and storytelling.

• Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint, editorial platforms, and AI-assisted content tools.

• Strong organizational skills; able to manage deadlines and shifting priorities.

• Receptive to feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement.
