Job summary

Affinity Petcare in Castelgomberto, Italy, is seeking an FP&A Manufacturing to join our operations finance team at one of our key petfood production plants. The FP&A Manufacturing will be the right hand of the Plant Manager and a core member of the site leadership team, accountable for driving financial performance, forecasting, cost-saving initiatives and supporting the Manufacturing Excellence journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing finance role.
• Strong ERP knowledge (SAP, Hyperion).
• Advanced Excel/BI skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic partner to the Plant Manager and cross-functional teams, leading financial initiatives.
• Translate financial data into operational insights and influence decision-making at the plant level.
• Provide training and support to operational staff to enhance financial awareness and accountability.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead initiatives to improve manufacturing profitability.
• Monitor operational efficiency and provide financial insight on production performance, yield, labor utilization, and waste.
• Support capex business cases.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations of the manufacturing site, including cost accounting, inventory control, and fixed asset management.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, KPIs, and variance reports; design and implement new methodologies where needed.
• Ensure accurate reporting of production costs, overhead absorption, and standard costing variances.
• Lead the site’s annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Partner with operations and supply chain to develop cost models and forecasts aligned with production volumes and efficiency targets.
