Job summary

Rilemo is seeking an engineering & science intern to work in Milan on one of four tracks (Software Operator, Agent Builder, Simulation Engineer, Modeling Scientist). You will join a small, autonomous team, ship 80% quickly, and balance scope and quality with minimal supervision.

The internship runs for six months at our Milan hybrid setup, and you will gain hands-on experience with an AI-powered portable medical device.

Qualifications

• You are a student in Computer Science, Physics or a related field.
• With strong fundamentals in your area of study.
• Autonomy and good judgment.
• You work with light supervision, set a sensible bar for when something is done, and raise blockers crisply.
• AI coding agents as your default.
• You have enough coding foundation to direct the tools well and ship something that works.
• MVP-minded.
• You ship the 80% fast and don't gold-plate work that doesn't need it.
• Fast context-ramping.
• You get up to speed on a new area quickly and start being useful without a full onboarding.
• A genuine tech enthusiast.

Responsibilities

• Work in a young team with strong autonomy and full ownership of your projects.
• You demo what you have built every few days and document it clearly.
• You flag poor-fit directions and move to the next task.
• You take loosely specified tasks and ship them by end of day.
• You choose tracks that fit your background when you apply.
• You contribute to AI agent tooling and internal automation.
