In this role, you will be responsible for engineering related to the manufacturing process, defining assembly and testing methods, and driving improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.

As a Flow Assembly & Testing Cell Lead Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing manufacturing engineering activities within the Flow Assembly & Testing Cell, developing and supporting shop routings and procedures for the assembly and testing of gas turbines and/or reciprocating compressors.
  • Continuously evaluating manufacturing processes and leading strategic projects to enhance safety, quality, capabilities, fulfillment, and productivity.
  • Designing tools, analyzing capabilities, creating instruction sheets, and improving equipment and shop fixtures.
  • Providing technical guidance and problem-solving support on the shop floor.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing engineers across Baker Hughes sites to leverage technology and best practices, fostering innovation.
  • Resolving NCRs and offering technical support to other functions.
  • Supporting digital transformation initiatives and the adoption of smart factory paradigms.

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering and have relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Possess knowledge or experience with gas turbines, which is an advantage.
  • Understand manufacturing processes for assembly and testing of gas turbines and reciprocating compressors.
  • Have experience with tooling and workstation design.
  • Be familiar with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Be capable of analyzing problems, identifying root causes, and providing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong team-building skills and ability to work within a matrix organization.
  • Drive positive change within the team environment.
  • Show good problem-solving, process improvement, and analytical skills.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Italian.
