AGAP2 is seeking a Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer for its Rome-based partner project in an Earth Observation satellite mission. You will join a dynamic operations team and contribute to orbit determination, maneuver planning and the development of flight dynamics workflows.

You will work in a technically challenging environment, collaborating with GS Engineering Team, reporting to the Operations/Engineering leads, and participating in LEOP and commissioning activities.

Competenze

• University degree in engineering, aerospace, physics or related field.
• Relevant experience in operational missions, orbit determination and control.
• Expertise in orbit and attitude dynamics of satellites.
• Experience in SSA activities and CAM management.
• Clear communication under nominal and time-critical conditions.
• At least 3 years in FDS operations for LEO satellites.
• Ability to work independently.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Python scripting proficiency.
• Experience with Unix/Linux OS.

Mansioni

• Conduct orbit determination, maneuver planning and analyze orbital events.
• Compute and monitor satellite orbit.
• Define FDS workflows and develop/test FDS procedures (manual and Python pipelines).
• Prepare and participate in System Operations Validation Test Campaigns.
• Prepare LEOP and Commissioning operations and on-console support.
• Manage routine and emergency flight dynamics operations.
• Propose improvements to in-orbit control strategies and support future missions.
