Generali Insurance Asset Management SGR is the Asset Management Company of the Generali Group, managing assets for insurance companies and pension funds. We specialize in Liability Driven Investment (LDI) solutions and offer proprietary analysis tools to support LDI management.

We are currently seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Fixed Income PM team in Trieste. The role involves managing pension funds, unit-linked, and similar mandates for both third-party and group clients, focusing on corporate bonds and credit products. Responsibilities include market research and analysis, portfolio monitoring, risk assessment, and active participation in investment processes and client meetings. Extensive experience in mark-to-market management and structured processes is required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Portfolio management, market and security analysis, order entry
2. Provide quantitative support for portfolio analysis
3. Generate research, analysis, and trade ideas on fixed income markets, especially credit instruments
4. Collaborate with research teams to identify investments for mark-to-market mandates
5. Prepare presentations on portfolio performance and strategies for management and clients
6. Participate in client meetings to discuss market views and portfolio updates
7. Coordinate with colleagues to ensure efficient order execution across markets

Requirements:

Must have:

1. Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics
2. 7+ years of experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Brokerage
3. Fluency in English (spoken and written)
4. Strong analytical, IT, and quantitative skills, including programming
5. Solid knowledge of financial markets and macroeconomics
6. Proficiency in Office tools

Nice to have:

1. CFA certification or similar qualification
2. Knowledge of a second language such as French or German
3. Experience with financial data providers like Bloomberg or Reuters
4. Interpersonal skills and ability to work internationally
5. Flexibility and adaptability
6. Knowledge of ESG and LDI investments
