The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research seeks a research fellow to continue activities under the LIFE MINNOW project in the Piedmont region. The 18-month extension will ensure scientific coordination and continuity of research, including data collection, ex situ breeding management, and genetic analyses of the Po brook lamprey.

Eligibility requires an Italian Laurea Magistrale or Laurea a Ciclo Unico, or an equivalent foreign degree obtained within the past six years.

Competenze

• Advanced degree required: Laurea Magistrale or Laurea a Ciclo Unico (or equivalent).
• Equivalently earned foreign degree accepted if obtained within 6 years before deadline.

Mansioni

• Collect and analyze environmental, ecological, and faunal data to assess habitat restoration actions.
• Manage ex situ breeding activities for target species and document reproductive biology findings.
• Investigate autoecology and population genetics of the Po brook lamprey using metabarcoding techniques.
