Università di Pavia invites applications for a research position as part of the COMPASS project, funded by the Italian Science Fund (FIS3). The successful candidate will conduct studies on host-microbiota interactions and vector competence, aiming to develop innovative vector-control strategies.

Applicants must hold a master’s or single-cycle degree in a relevant field and be eligible to participate in selection.

Competenze

• Experience studying bacterial microbiota in insect systems.
• In-depth knowledge of mosquito biology and rearing.
• Molecular biology techniques including cloning, PCR, qPCR.
• Ability to supervise undergraduate, master’s and PhD students.

Mansioni

• Undertake research activities as part of the COMPASS project.
• Contribute to experimental design and scientific development.
• Publish findings and present results in English.
