Description of the research activity:

The support to the research activity will contribute to achieving the objectives of the AMBRA project, with particular reference to the activities planned within WP3. The activities to be carried out are related to the evaluation of sustainable production systems for small fruits (strawberry and others), with reference to innovative agroecological agronomic practices. Specifically, the implementation of experiments in open fields and controlled environments is planned, where the simultaneous presence (in space and/or time) of multiple crops (intercropping) is evaluated from an ecological, biometric, and physiological perspective. Additionally, the main biochemical and organoleptic characteristics of the productions obtained in the experimental phase will also be evaluated through laboratory activities.
