Firmware Engineer – Remote | Satellite Communications

Embedded Firmware | RF & Signal Processing | FPGA & RTOS

Our client, a leading innovator in satellite communication technologies, is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join their cutting-edge satellite communications project. This role offers the chance to work on complex embedded systems for high-performance satellite infrastructure, contributing to global communication networks.

As a key member of the team, you will design and develop embedded firmware for satellite systems, focusing on optimizing real-time embedded systems, implementing signal processing algorithms on FPGAs, DSPs, and microcontrollers, and debugging communication protocols.

Core Skills Required
  1. Proficiency in C/C++ and assembly for ARM, RISC-V, or DSP architectures
  2. Experience with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, VxWorks, RTEMS)
  3. Hands-on experience with FPGA programming (VHDL/Verilog) and hardware-software co-design
  4. Strong understanding of RF signal processing and wireless communication standards
  5. Experience with debugging and testing tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
  6. Familiarity with radiation-tolerant design principles is a plus
Nice to Have
  1. Experience with AI/ML-based signal processing
  2. Knowledge of GNSS, Software-Defined Radio (SDR), and beamforming techniques
