A leading accounting firm in Italy seeks an experienced Accountant Manager to oversee the Month-End Closure Accounting process and prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Italian GAAP. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in a similar role, proficiency in SAP and Excel, along with a proactive attitude and interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position located in Lombardia.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting department managing consolidated financial statements.
• Experience in audit firms is a plus.
• Good command of Business English.

Mansioni

• Manage the Month-End Closure Accounting process.

This position is responsible for managing the Month-End Closure Accounting process, preparing financial statements in compliance with IFRS accounting standards, Italian GAAPs, and group policies. The incumbent will ensure adherence to deadlines set by the VF Group Calendar and handle requests from external auditors.

• The Accountant Manager will be responsible for monthly preparation of financial statements in accordance with IAS / IFRS principles.
• They will execute, coordinate, and approve accrual journal entries, verify accruals, and reconcile GL accounts for all material amounts.
• They will autonomously manage relationships with External Auditors, ensuring timely provision of required data.
• Preparation and discussion of financial statements and related documentation with the Board of Statutory Auditors (Management Report, Explanatory Notes, Financial Statements).

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in an accounting department with responsibility for consolidated financial statements.
• Previous experience in audit firms is a plus.
• Proficiency in SAP and strong knowledge of Excel.
• Proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Must-Have Technical / Professional Qualifications

• Educational background in accounting or a related field.
• A degree in economics is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a structured company.
• Good command of Business English.
