Overview

SHG operates over 81 venues in 26 countries with a commitment to deliver authentic and diverse hospitality experiences that bring people together, all around the world. We are looking for a Financial Controller for our F&B outlets (restaurants) across two hospitality destinations in Milan: Palazzo Cordusio and Torre Velasca. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial and accounting operations across multiple locations. This role provides hands-on operational support with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

• Supports financial and operational accounting activities, including monthly closing, balance sheet preparation, cash flow statements, flash reporting, cash management, costing, and budgeting
• Leads the monthly accounting close process for multiple entities
• Drives the digitalization of accounting processes
• Assists in forecasting and budgeting, including variance analysis
• Provides financial evaluation and business case support for new openings
• Prepares financial reports, KPIs, and dashboards for internal stakeholders
• Collaborates directly with the General Manager and Director of Operations to enhance financial awareness and provide actionable financial insights

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a multi-site F&B, hospitality, or retail environment
• Strong communication skills in both Italian and professional-level English
• Solid knowledge of finance, accounting principles, and related tools
• Knowledge of local accounting principles and IFRS
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Navision, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to evaluate alternatives and provide clear business recommendations
• Extensive experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting
