A leading company in the green energy sector seeks a Finance Controller to be a key financial partner within the Service business unit. This hybrid position, based in either Taranto or Rome, involves analyzing business performance, overseeing financial processes, and collaborating with management. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Finance and relevant experience in multinational environments, alongside strong SAP expertise.

Competenze

• 3-5 years of experience in project cost controlling.
• Full proficiency in English and Italian required.
• Solid accounting knowledge with experience in POC accounting method is a plus.

As a member of regional Finance team, Finance Controller is a key finance anchor point and trusted business partner for Service business unit.

Responsibilities

• Analyze actual performance of business cluster, focusing on deviations compared to planned performance
• Provide and present executive summary of the performance to Service Management team. Contribute, agree and follow-up on actions
• Perform controlling activities related to sales and contract execution phases
• Support month end finance processes in accordance with the Vestas Standard Operating Procedures and ensure timely and accurate closure of the financial statements to the Region and Group
• Coordinate monthly forecasting processes ensuring business accountability and ownership
• Oversee and improve SAP data quality input from the organization
• Act as a gatekeeper of risks in relation to financials of the Service business unit

Qualifications

• University degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in project cost controlling, financial analysis and business performance management within multinational companies
• Solid accounting knowledge. Experience in POC (percentage of completion) accounting method is a plus
• Experienced user of SAP, SAP/BI or SAP HANA.
• Experience in using data visualization tools (Power BI, SAC)
• Full English and Italian proficiency are required
