Your day at NTT DATA

The Financial Controller is a subject matter expert, responsible for the preparation of financial reports, processing journal entries and the accounting month-end, as well as preparing balance sheet reconciliations. The primary objective of this role is to report on costs, productivity, margins, and expenditures, as well as offer financial recommendations and may also assist with the management and preparation of budgets.

The Financial Controller collaborates with Senior Finance Manager and Financial Accountant to prepare monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities.

What You'll Be Doing

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare a variety of financial reports and extract data (monthly/ quarterly/ year end closure) to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Reconcile accounts, resolves discrepancies and collaborate across various finance and non-finance functions.
  • Implement effective financial controls, including systems reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of reported figures.
  • Conduct budget and expense analysis and report on variances ensuring that the projected budget is met and assisting with cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure budget & forecast variances are analyzed and recommendations are made to correct or improve company performance.
  • Assist with input into the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Continuously review business initiatives to ensure that they meet the required profitability expectations.
  • Support with the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and compliance reviews.

To be successful in this role you are asked to have:

  • Master’s degree in economics. Specialization in Finance Accounting or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in a multinational environment (ICT business preferred).
  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Comprehensive expertise in methods and processes of controlling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP is essential for this role.
  • Fluency in English language (written and spoken).
  • Strong attitude to team working.
  • High capacity to organize priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and relationship skills at different levels of the organization.
