A global industrial solutions provider is seeking a Financial Accountant in Sesto San Giovanni, Italy. You will manage accounting operations, support compliance with VAT and tax regulations, and collaborate with our Shared Service Center. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience and solid knowledge of accounting principles and SAP. This role offers a hybrid working pattern.

Competenze

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles (Italian GAAP and IFRS).

Financial Accountant

You will support general accounting operations, month-end closings, and statutory compliance, with a focus on VAT, taxes, and local reporting requirements. The role also includes collaboration with our Shared Service Center and support in audits and travel expense management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage general accounting activities and perform B / S reconciliations.
2. Assist in performing month-end and year-end closing activities following Group procedures, including accruals and payroll accounting entries.
3. Assist in preparing the Annual Financial Statement in compliance with local regulations, including assistance in corporate income tax calculations and adjusting entries.
4. Assist in ensuring compliance with Italian VAT / TAXES and other requirements: Good knowledge of VAT law and its regulations, monthly VAT calculation, filling in tax payment form F24, withholding taxes, accurate maintenance of VAT Register, Journal Entry Register, Inventory, and Fixed Asset register. Support review of annual/quarterly VAT returns.
5. Shared services support: act as a key point of contact for our shared service center for general ledger, specific accounting needs, accounts payable expertise, vendor and e-invoicing reconciliation/archiving.
6. Support external & internal audits.
7. Manage employees' travel expenses.
8. Submit cross-border transactions to SDI (Authority Exchange System).
9. Handle accounting activities related to imports.

Essential Skills & Experience
