Finance Project Manager

Purpose of the job :

The Project controller is responsible for the financial management and control of a Project portfolio. At this level, he / she operates with full autonomy on large projects and may supervise a team of project controllers for a portfolio of large and complex projects. Acts as the financial support and representative for the Project Manager, ensuring financial transparency.

Key accountabilities

• Ensure project accounting aligns with company guidelines.
• Organize project reviews from start to end of each contract.
• Manage controlling and financial reporting of projects according to internal control rules.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of project financial data in sector reviews, respecting Alstom rules.
• Support the Project Manager and other project functions as a finance partner.
• Prepare project review content and periodic financial presentations with the project team.
• Understand project documents and systems, actively managing financial implications.
• Produce all requested financial reports (forecast cash flow, revenue, gross margin, etc.).
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls, including DoA.
• Coordinate with local finance teams for onshore projects.
• Maintain full knowledge of all financial movements within the project scope, ensuring correct and accurate reporting and reconciliation.
• Manage interfaces with tax, treasury, insurance, and contract management functions.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of claims and risk assessments in financials.
• Provide reliable financial data to management for decision-making.
• Conduct ad-hoc reporting and investigations as needed.
• Coordinate with project teams like Planning and Sourcing.

Mandatory qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in finance-related fields such as accounting, finance, business administration, or economics.
• 6-8 years of controlling experience in large multinational construction projects (Senior PC).
• Experience in project accounting and contract management.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and forecasting ability.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
