A leading hospitality company in Venice is seeking a Finance Manager. This role involves providing financial oversight, ensuring compliance with company policies, and managing daily finance operations, including budgeting and cash flow management. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and have at least 5 years of experience in hotel accounting. The Finance Manager supports the General Manager by providing financial oversight, operational guidance, and accurate reporting to aid in effective business decision-making. The role ensures strong internal controls, compliance with company policies, and safeguarding of hotel assets, while driving efficiency and profitability at the property level.
The Finance Manager partners with auditors, tax consultants, and local authorities, while managing daily finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, procurement, and cash flow management.
This position requires strong accounting expertise, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support and mentor the property’s finance and accounting team.
Bachelor’s degree or higher education qualification or equivalent in Accounting, Finance and at least 5 years of experience in hotel accounting or audit with at least two years in a Director of Finance or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Knowledge of accounting management duties such as negotiating hotel space and tenant leases; processing payroll; performing asset management duties; providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns, etc. as needed or requested. Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred.
