Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting department and supporting the Managing Director in Lissone, Italy, as well as the group CFO at headquarters in the US.

They will provide financial advice and support to assist senior management and executives in making key decisions.

Responsibilities include:

1. Management of the Finance department and its operations
2. Preparation and review of financial statements for European entities
3. Project revenue recognition by Percentage of Completion (POC)
4. Ensuring statutory and tax compliance
5. Financial analysis and commentary
6. Reviewing business performance with executive and senior management
7. Producing annual budgets
8. Managing relationships with banks, external consultants, and outsourced service providers
9. Cash flow forecasting and reporting, including foreign exchange risk management
10. Implementing, developing, and maintaining financial systems and tools
11. Reviewing financial processes and implementing improvements
12. Delivering on special projects as required

The Candidate:

• Accounting qualification or degree
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar finance management role
• Experience implementing financial or ERP software
• Experience using Sage is desirable
• Experience in Percentage of Completion (POC) calculations
• IT literate (Microsoft Office), with excellent Excel skills
• Leadership or management experience
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Good communicator – verbal and written at all levels
• Confident and assertive
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Resourceful with good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and dependability
• Good organization and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Flexible and capable of managing unexpected situations
• Good team player
