Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting department and supporting the Managing Director in Lissone, Italy, as well as the group CFO at the headquarters in the US.

The role involves providing financial advice and support to assist senior managers and executives in making key decisions.

Responsibilities include:

1. Management of the Finance department and its operations
2. Preparation and review of financial statements for European entities
3. Project revenue recognition by Percentage of Completion (POC)
4. Ensuring statutory and tax compliance
5. Financial analysis and commentary
6. Reviewing business performance with management
7. Producing annual budgets
8. Managing relationships with banks, external consultants, and service providers
9. Cashflow forecasting and foreign exchange risk reporting
10. Implementing and maintaining financial systems and tools
11. Reviewing and improving financial processes
12. Executing special projects as needed

The Candidate:

• Accounting qualification or degree
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar finance management role
• Experience with financial or ERP software implementation
• Experience with Sage is desirable
• Experience in POC calculations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Leadership or management experience
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Confident and assertive
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Flexible and adaptable to unexpected situations
