Grafton seeks a Finance Manager to lead accounting operations and implement the Group operating model in a multinational setting. You will ensure data accuracy, drive end-to-end accounting with the local team, and serve as the main contact for the parent company on financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in accounting, strong English, and a structured, proactive mindset. This on-site role is based in Rome, offering growth within a global Finance function.

The Finance & Accounting team at Grafton—a global brand specializing in professional recruitment is seeking the following candidate on behalf of a client, a company active in the technical control, supervision, and monitoring of projects, construction, facilities, and investments:

Finance Manager

The successful candidate will progressively take ownership of the company’s accounting operations. Initially, the role will focus on implementing the Group operating model, ensuring data accuracy, process consistency, and compliance with reporting deadlines. Over time, the person will manage end-to-end accounting activities in collaboration with the local Finance team and act as a key contact for the parent company.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and apply the Group operating model (processes, controls, reporting calendar)
• Independently manage general ledger activities and day-to-day accounting
• Manage periodic closing activities (monthly/quarterly/year-end) and prepare Group reporting packages
• Monitor and control Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable cycles, including Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and related reporting
• Act as the main point of contact for the parent company on accounting and reporting matters
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of accounting data and reports

Requirements

• High school diploma and/or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a multinational group, structured company, or consultancy firm
• Experience in auditing, accounting, or implementation of finance/administrative processes is a plus
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
• Hands-on experience with periodic close and reporting is preferred
• Excellent English (written and spoken)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Accuracy, reliability, and a structured approach
• Team-oriented, proactive, and dynamic mindset
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
