From Melt Group, we are currently recruiting a Finance Director on behalf of a leading multinational company in the building materials sector, with a strong international footprint and manufacturing presence across Europe. The selected candidate will be based in Northern Italy and will lead the full financial strategy and operations of the Italian subsidiary, reporting directly to the Group CFO.

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance and controlling functions of the Italian subsidiary, ensuring full alignment with corporate financial strategy and local compliance.
- Represent the company in negotiations with financial institutions, advisors, and external stakeholders.
- Supervise and manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning across short, medium, and long-term horizons.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and manage local credit, treasury, and financing operations.
- Support the Group CFO in the preparation of financial documentation, business case analysis, and funding strategies at both local and group level.
- Monitor P&L, balance sheet, and monthly closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Oversee fixed asset control, CAPEX analysis, and working capital optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Italian tax and accounting standards as well as internal policies and IFRS principles.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and transparency.
- Support potential M&A activities, including due diligence and post-merger integration planning.
- Lead and mentor a local finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and strategic thinking.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration; MBA or similar postgraduate studies are a strong plus.
- At least 7–10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or related sectors.
- Experience in a Big Four firm (audit or transaction services) is highly valued.
- Strong command of financial planning, analysis, reporting, and cash management.
- Proven track record working in international corporate environments and matrix organizations.
- Languages: Fluent Italian and English are essential; other languages are a plus
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Advanced skills in financial systems and tools (ERP, Excel, BI tools).
