Crane Worldwide Logistics S.r.l. is seeking a Finance Controller for Warehouse Operations in Milano. The role focuses on strengthening the close process, posting accurate journal entries, and ensuring robust general ledger controls.

You will coordinate with the Finance Director and Operations to maintain timely postings and accurate budgets. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, experience with audits, and proficiency in Excel/ERP systems.

Competenze

• Bachelor's in Accounting is required.
• Masters in Accounting or related field is preferred.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
• Previous experience in Logistics or mid‑market audit firms is preferred.

Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the close process and the assurance of effective controls;
• Prepare or review monthly journal entries inclusive of supporting documentation and appropriate descriptions. Research and resolve accounting general ledger issues;
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, develop and maintain detailed support schedules ensuring that all costs and revenues match with budget;
• Work closely with Finance Director and Operation team to ensure timely and accurate posting to the general ledger. Track and maintain general ledger via coordination with accounts payable and CAPEX management approvals;
• Oversee daily bank reconciliations relating to the warehouse in coordination with Finance Administrator;
• Support all operational teams hosting monthly P&L reviews and visibility to spend detail. Assist Finance Director and operating management to perform balance sheet flux analyses and P&L bridging;
• Perform self-audits to ensure that the G/L team acts in compliance with company policies and standards. Assist with annual audit and any other duties as assigned.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting, audit and controlling practices;
• Strong knowledge of computerized financial and accounting systems, and applications. Excel expertise required, Access preferred;
• Ability to act with sense of urgency and ethically in a high-pressure role. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a self-starter. Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong verbal and written knowledge of the English language.

Physical Requirements

• Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking. Some light lifting may be required in some instances.

Certifications and Licenses

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Salary: from € 35.000 to € 45.000 depending on experience and skills.
