Junior Finance Project Controller

Purpose of the job: The Project Controller is responsible for the financial management and control of a project portfolio. At this level, he/she operates with full autonomy on large projects and may supervise a team of project controllers for a portfolio of large and complex projects. Acts as the financial support and representative for the project manager, ensuring financial transparency.

Key Accountabilities

1. Ensure project accounting complies with company guidelines.
2. Organise project reviews from start to end of each contract; manage controlling and financial reporting in accordance with internal control rules.
3. Guarantee that the project financial situation reported in Sector Project Reviews is accurate and sincere, respecting Alstom rules.
4. Support the Project Manager and other project functions as a finance partner.
5. Prepare project review content and periodic financial presentations with the project team.
6. Understand project documents and systems; actively manage financial implications.
7. Produce all requested financial project reports (forecast cash flow, revenue, gross margin, etc.).
8. Ensure all financial processes and internal controls, including DoA, are implemented, robust, and compliant.
9. Coordinate with the local finance team for the establishment of onshore projects.
10. Maintain full knowledge of all financial movements within the project scope, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.
11. Manage interfaces with tax, treasury, insurance, and contract management functions.
12. Ensure consistency of claims in project financials and assess risks and opportunities accurately.
13. Provide management with reliable financial data for decision-making.
14. Handle ad-hoc reporting and investigations related to projects.
15. Ensure alignment with project teams such as Planning and Sourcing.

Main Required Competencies

• 2-3 years minimum relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation, controlling, risk valuation, and interpreting financial data for strategic decisions.
• University degree in Finance or relevant field, or equivalent.
• English language proficiency mandatory.
