Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company in Italy, seeks a Finance & Accounting Expert for a remote contractor role. You will design complex, multi-step benchmark tasks across FP&A, financial reporting, auditing, and reconciliations, with clear instructions and scoring rubrics for objective evaluation.

You will source materials, ensure clarity and gradability, and deliver high-quality work within a 12-month engagement, with approx. 15 hours per week and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on FP&A, financial reporting, auditing, reconciliations, or related field.
• Experience developing or applying structured review standards and rubrics.
• Strong Excel skills with ability to analyze across multiple documents.
• Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and objective criteria.
• Strong written English; produce precise instructions and documentation.
• CPA/CA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent is an advantage but not required.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver remotely.

We are seeking an experienced finance and accounting professional to transform real-world financial workflows into rigorous, realistic, and objectively gradable benchmark tasks. In this remote, independent contractor role, you will draw on your practical expertise to design complex scenarios across financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, auditing, and reconciliations. You will develop clear instructions, supporting documentation, and consistent evaluation criteria that enable qualified reviewers to assess work reliably. The role emphasizes sound financial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret information across multiple documents rather than simply retrieve answers. You will contribute to building high-quality assessments that reflect the challenges professionals encounter in real finance environments. Accountabilities

• Design realistic, multi-step finance and accounting tasks based on practical workflows, including FP&A analysis, financial reporting, audit procedures, and account reconciliations.

• Develop clear task instructions and objective grading rubrics that allow qualified reviewers to evaluate submissions consistently.

• Create challenging scenarios that require professional judgment, careful interpretation of source materials, and sound financial reasoning.

• Prepare or source relevant supporting materials, including spreadsheets, general ledger extracts, financial statements, and policy documents.

• Review tasks for clarity, accuracy, and gradability, identifying and flagging ambiguous scenarios or tasks that cannot be assessed reliably.

• Deliver approved tasks on schedule while maintaining the required standards of quality and consistency.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of hands-on professional experience in FP&A, financial reporting, auditing, reconciliations, accounting, or a closely related field, with direct responsibility for the work rather than supervisory or adjacent exposure alone.

• Experience developing or applying structured review standards, such as audit programs, review checklists, month-end close checklists, grading rubrics, or training assessments.

• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze information across multiple financial documents and data sources.

• Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to translate professional judgment into clear, objective evaluation criteria.

• Strong written English skills, with the ability to produce precise instructions and well-structured documentation.

• A CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage but is not required.

• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a remote contractor environment.
