Job summary

ESAB in Italy seeks a Product Manager – Filler Metals to translate the European strategy into local market actions, supporting the commercial team and customers across distributor and direct channels. The role requires collaboration with area sales managers and KAMs to drive adoption, training, and growth.

You will help plan launches, analyze performance, and identify opportunities within the Med sub-region, ensuring competitive positioning and strong customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Technical or Engineering degree (minimum secondary education)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong knowledge of welding processes and filler metals
• English proficiency minimum B2
• Local language proficiency C1

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the local implementation of the European Filler Metals strategy
• Maintain deep knowledge of the ESAB Filler Metals portfolio and its competitive advantages
• Support Field Sales Representatives, Industrial Welding Equipment & Solutions Sales Representatives, and Key Account Managers with technical expertise and product recommendations
• Deliver product and application training to internal commercial teams and distributor partners
• Develop and support sales campaigns, promotions, and growth initiatives
• Plan and execute new product launches and manage product phase-outs
• Support customers with troubleshooting and resolution of product performance issues
• Manage product portfolio changes and support customer transitions to updated products and solutions
• Analyze sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend actions to the sales management team
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and local pricing to ensure strong market positioning
• Support Area Sales Managers in maintaining standard pricing aligned with European recommendations
• Collect and communicate market feedback, technical challenges, and customer requirements to European Product Management
