Field Services Technician - power transformers

About the Role

As a Field Services Technician specializing in power transformers, you will be responsible for on-site maintenance, repairs, engineering, consulting, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, installation, and commissioning of power transformers.

Location: Italy, Trento, TN. Work is conducted at the office/site only. Company: Siemens Energy Transformers, Grid Technologies Business Unit. Full-time, experienced professional.

Joining the Service department at Siemens Energy Transformers offers deep insights into the work of a Power Transformers factory. You will work with a diverse range of customers and projects across different countries, collaborating with a motivated and international team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

1. Deliver outstanding and professional services on-site, including maintenance, repairs, engineering, consulting, sophisticated services, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, installation, and commissioning.
2. Arrange travel using SE Tools and prepare all necessary materials and documentation, including final technical reports.
3. Exceed customer expectations by understanding their needs and identifying potential sales and business opportunities.
4. Suggest product and process upgrades to improve operations and customer service.

What You Bring

1. Academic background in electromechanical/electric fields or equivalent.
2. Experience as a field service technician, preferably in power transformers or electrical substations, with a record of maintenance, repair, retrofit works, and ability to perform electrical LV tests.
3. Ability to lead field projects with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and communicate effectively with partners.
4. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel at least 60% of the time within Italy and abroad.
5. Proficiency in Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
