Descrizione del lavoro

As the Field Service Engineer in Power and Water Solutions BU, your role will be to support our customers on site (mainly power plants) by delivering activities required for maintenance, solving incidents, providing technical support, system upgrades, warranty services, training, and completing configurations and modifications. You will also handle on-call services for our DCS and Power and Water Cybersecurity Suite. You will be part of our Lifecycle Services team, which helps customers maintain, improve reliability, and boost performance of their DCS systems. We look forward to your application!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform system maintenance and performance evaluations.
  • Provide technical support, lead investigations, and resolve customer complaints and reported problems, offering solutions as needed.
  • Provide remote technical support via phone and internet for our DCS users.
  • Perform on-call shift services and emergency call-outs to ensure fast and efficient customer support.
  • Use service tools (e.g., SMS Guardian) and internal tools (CRM INAZ Clarity Service App) effectively.
  • Support configuration, application management, and project activities at customer sites.
  • Provide on-site customer training on the operation of Emerson products.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and specialize in areas such as Ovation DCS, Power and Water Cybersecurity, virtualization, upgrades, backup & recovery, patch management, and endpoint security.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, computer science, or control systems.
  • Knowledge of IT & Networking, Cybersecurity, Virtualization, Programming, Software, Operating Systems, Active Directory, Patch Management, Backup & Recovery.
  • Experience in process industries such as Power, Water, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, or Refineries.
  • Good communication skills, fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience with DCS applications (Ovation DCS or DeltaV preferred).
  • Start-up and commissioning experience in process automation and control performance.
  • Technical competencies in electrical/electronic power, field buses (Modbus, IEC 61850, IEC 60870, Profibus, GE MARK V/VI, DNP3).
  • Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
  • Availability to work outside regular hours, including weekends, for support and call-outs.
