As the Field Service Engineer in Power and Water Solutions BU, your role will be to support our customers at site (mainly power plants) by delivering activities required for maintenance, solving incidents, providing technical support, system upgrades, warranty services, training, and completing configurations and/or modifications. You will also handle on-call services for our DCS and Power and Water Cybersecurity Suite. You will become part of our Lifecycle Services team, which helps customers carry out maintenance, improve reliability, and boost performance of their DCS systems. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform system maintenance and performance evaluations.
  • Provide technical support to customers, investigate issues, and resolve system-related complaints and problems, offering solutions as needed.
  • Provide remote technical support via phone and internet for our DCS users.
  • Be willing and able to perform on-call shift-based services and emergency callouts to ensure fast and efficient customer support.
  • Use service tools (e.g., SMS Guardian) and internal tools (CRM, INAZ Clarity Service App) effectively.
  • Configure and manage applications, support projects at customer sites, and provide onsite training on Emerson products.
  • Keep up-to-date with technological developments and specialize in certain areas such as Ovation DCS, Ovation Network, Power and Water Cybersecurity Suite, Turbine Control Applications, Virtualization, Ovation Upgrades, Backup & Recovery, Patch Management, Endpoint Security, etc.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, computer science, or control systems.
  • Knowledge of IT, Networking, Cybersecurity, Virtualization, Programming, Software, Operating Systems, Active Directory, Patch Management, Backup & Recovery.
  • Experience in process industries like Power, Water, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, or Refineries.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience with DCS applications, especially Ovation DCS or DeltaV.
  • Start-up and commissioning experience in process automation and control performance.
  • Technical competencies in electrical/electronic power, Field Buses (Modbus, IEC 61850, IEC 60870, Profibus, DNP3, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
  • Availability to work outside regular hours, including weekends, to support customers and perform callouts.
