This position offers an opportunity to join Varian and the Service team in fighting cancer, based in Puglia (Bari area).

As a Field Service Engineer (FSE), you will deliver high-quality onsite service to Varian’s customers in Italy.

This role suits someone with strong on-site customer support experience who enjoys customer contact and prides in providing excellent service.

You will join a team of over 50 people across Italy.

Being Varian’s “face” to customers, it’s vital you enjoy customer contact, can interpret concerns, and act immediately.

Each FSE operates in a designated territory, representing Varian Medical Systems, requiring good professional communication with teams, customers, management, sales, and technical support.

Skills & Requirements
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting on radiotherapy equipment
  • Provide in-hospital and remote support for radiotherapy accelerators
  • Service, support, and repair equipment per instructions, manuals, and bulletins
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts and modifications
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Complete admin duties like timesheets, expense, and service reports, and training
  • Fluent in Italian and proficient in English
  • 4-6 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer on customer sites
  • Knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical engineering, test equipment, calibration
  • Technical education such as secondary school ITIS/IPSIA or biomedical/electronic engineering

This is a home-based position with 50% travel required.
