The Position

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for Mechanical Systems. You will join the Global Customer Support Service Delivery Team, reporting to the Operations Manager. Your responsibilities include installation and commissioning of Kongsberg's Propulsion & Engines Systems on vessels and at shipyards worldwide, as well as providing in-house technical support. Candidates should have technical qualifications in mechanical systems, be aligned with our values of being determined, innovative, collaborative, and reliable, and be highly motivated for global support activities.

Key Accountabilities

• Inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical propulsion products following applicable procedures and regulations.
• Handling technical inquiries alongside the Technical Support & Engineering department.
• Continuous process improvement related to commissioning, repairs, and overhauls.
• Documentation and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Competence in mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness and motivation for worldwide support activities.
• Knowledge of Kongsberg Maritime products is a plus.
