The Position

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer - Control Systems to join our team. You will be part of the Global Customer Support Service Delivery Team, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Your responsibilities include installing and commissioning Kongsberg's Propulsion & Handling control systems on vessels and at shipyards globally, as well as providing in-house technical support. Candidates should have technical qualifications in control systems, align with our values of being determined, innovative, collaborative, reliable, and be highly motivated for worldwide support activities.

Kongsberg Maritime Italy, with offices in Genoa and Rome, provides sales and aftermarket support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection, upgrade, and troubleshooting of propulsion control products following procedures and regulations.
• Supporting technical inquiries alongside the Technical Support & Engineering departments.
• Continuous improvement of installation, commissioning, and startup processes.
• Documentation and reporting of activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong electronic background.
• Experience with electrical and electronic systems related to marine engine command and control is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
• Willingness and motivation for global support activities.
• Knowledge of Kongsberg Maritime products is advantageous.
